MY WEB PAGE TOOLS

HTML Editors

I Started with Hot Dog Expresstm by Sausage Software. It was included in my ISP package. I found it to be simple to use, and it got me started. After a while, I decided that I wanted a more advanced editor and to learn more about HTML. They also have more advanced editors available if you want to take a look at them.
My search through The Ultimate Collection Of Winsock Software brought me to Get it freeArachnophilia by Paul Lutus which is a CareWare product. CareWare is his version of freeware. This is my current editor of choice, and I don't plan on looking for anything else anytime soon. This is an advanced program in that you will need to have an understanding of HTML tags in order to figure out how to use the tool bars. If you know what tag you need, you just need to select the correct tool bar and then select the tag. Arachnophilia will then write the code for the tag and you fill in the variables.

JAVA SCRIPTS

Java Scripts are program applications that can do many things. I don't know the language, but have found some interesting ones. Some are just cute and fun, while others are useful and educational. So far I have collected over forty of them and will incorporate many of them into this site over time. Here are some starting points I went through to find these free scripts. When you locate a file you like, copy it and paste it into your HTML code. Sometimes with more complex scripts there is an additional file(s) you will need to download to your computer and then upload to your host server. To do this, you will need to be familiar with the directories of your site so everything will work properly.

To save the scripts, I created a scripts folder and then an HTML script template. Each script was then copied to the template and saved as an individual file with a descriptive name that would give me an idea of its function for quick future access.

At some point when I have more of them online I will create an index page of scripts so you can have quick access to them. I won't be able to provide the code for you to use on your own site, but with the links below you should be able to find them or something similar to suit your needs.

The Java Script Source is the largest collection of scripts in one place that I have found. Some of them are free, while others have a price. It's generally the cute fun ones with little commercial usefulness that are free. If you want to start your own online store, you will probably have to pay for the code. Great place to start a collection.
